That's a very fine piece of animation! You should surely make a finished animation, I really want to see your skills in action.

"I understood though that Newgrounds' users usually prefer long, badly-drawn but funny/silly/brutal animations, so I think I'll try to make one soon just to test it out."

That's not true at all. There's a variety of users who likes a variety of content. There's people who likes bad drawn while there's the ones who like animations where it has put a lot of effort (Though I think everyone likes good drawn animations = P).

And there's people who like funny, silly and brutal animations, as they like musical, romantic and adventurous animations as well.

What really decide if they like or not depend on their likes and dislikes, and the effort you put on your work.

Good luck on the next animation!

Thanks for your reply!

Yeah, of course, people are different and I'm always going to keep my animations up to my standarts no matter how many "stars" I get here. But it's just worth testing out for fun :)

Not bad, if you did the scenario, it's really beautiful.

The only thing I disliked is that if you compare John with the scenario gives me a strange feel. Older cartoons do this, but they usually draw a black outline in the characters.

If you want to use these detailed scenarios I suggest you to begin draw black outlines in the characters. The animation still cool, good work!

stberntz responds:

I did everything :-) And thank you for the interesting comments on black outlines for John, I will consider it!

I laughed almost the entire video. Never played Persona, but showing this way just makes it looks so funny!

A nice smooth animation, good voice acting and funny jokes. This is a recipe for a very good animation.

I don't wait for see the next parts, well done!

Worth checking out the P4 anime, i'll give you a general idea of the plot.
Glad you enjoyed it regardless!

It's your first animation? That was so cool!

The frames was smooth, the effects let the animation charming, and the best of all, was funny! The ending was the most funnier part.

A very funny animation, good job!

This is a very interesting idea for a movie, but you should pay attention to these details:

-When making a stop-motion, make sure to do it in a place where the illumination don't changes every time. Like, next time you should close your windows and turn on the room's lights.

-For let scenes more enjoyable, add some more life, like in the 3D animation part. You could, for example, put some tall grass or some critters to add more life.

-When making a transition like "10 minutes later" or "30 seconds later", be sure you can make use of a long time of a action. For example, for he getting at the duck, you could make he get faster by making he take the line off from the toolbar. In the duck scene, you could have made him press the copy button very fast for a more comedic scene.

Other than that, it's a very cool short. Good luck on the next works!
